Phoenix Housing is a co-op,
with over 90% of our properties in Hackney and Tower
Hamlets. We only house single people. You must be
over 18, have a low income (currently under £19,500
p.a.) and be either homeless or facing homelessness.
Applicants must also apply to their local council
for inclusion on their waiting list.
Most of our properties are shared and shortlife
in which our members have their own bedroom, sharing,
on average with 2 to 4 other members, a living room,
kitchen and bathroom. Therefore, a responsible attitude
to shared bills and willingness to co-operate is
important. We do have some co-op owned properties
and some shortlife self-contained units (both at
higher rents). We do not have any co-op owned self-contained
homes.please
